Areas I Work With
About Me
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with 6 years of experience working with teens, adults, couples, and families.
Therapy doesn’t have to be intimidating. My approach is laid-back, supportive, and real — no judgment, no psychobabble.
I use a mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy. That means we’ll look at how your thoughts and patterns are affecting you, while also giving you space to feel heard, understood, and in control of your own process.
I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, OCD, and more. I offer telehealth sessions and also speak Hindi and Urdu.

Mental Wellness
Small, practical things you can try between sessions — or just on a hard day.
When you’re overwhelmed, pause and label the emotion. “I’m feeling anxious right now.” Naming feelings activates the rational part of your brain and takes the edge off the intensity.
Even a 10-minute walk can shift your mood. Movement releases tension stored in the body and helps regulate your nervous system — no gym required.
When a harsh thought shows up, ask: “Is this 100% true? What would I tell a friend in this situation?” CBT teaches us that thoughts are not facts — we can question them.
Sleep is the foundation of mental health. Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time each day, and keep screens out of the bedroom if you can.
Reaching out — to a friend, a family member, or a therapist — is a sign of strength, not weakness. You don’t have to carry everything alone.
You’re doing the best you can with what you have right now. Progress in therapy and in life isn’t linear — and that’s completely okay.

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to work on, and whether we’re a good fit. There’s no pressure — it’s a conversation, not an evaluation.
It depends on your goals and what you’re working through. Some clients feel significant progress in 8–12 sessions; others prefer longer-term support. We’ll check in regularly to make sure therapy continues to feel worthwhile and on track.
